The Science of Life

A plant viewed from aboveAyurveda is on of the oldest healing sciences and has been widely accepted by many scholars. The word Ayurveda in Sanskrit language means “The Science of Life”. This science, Ayurveda, originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. According to Ayurveda, some of the important cause of disease (dis-ease) is caused by the presence of toxins in the body and also due to a lack of proper cellular function due to imbalance of three vital energies that are present in everyone. These energies are names data, pitta, or kapha, also known as TriDosha. TriDosha’s are nothing but permutations and combinations of the five key elements, namely Space, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. Also, the connection between body, mind, and consciousness and its alignment is key to good health, according to Ayurvedic principles.
